The kids did a great job showing off all they learned while reading nonfiction books this unit! They really became experts and acted like tour guides at a museum.

Learning How To Use Google Slides

We have been working hard at reading several nonfiction books that are on the same topic. We have been noticing the similarities and differences and also learning a lot along the way. Ms. Schwanke's 4th grade class came to teach us how to use Google Slides to share all the knowledge we are gaining from reading nonfiction books. It is almost time to share our knowledge with others!

Science - Matter Unit

The past few weeks we have been testing properties of solids. Now we are testing properties of liquids. Today we discovered how glue and water were alike and different.

Personal Narrative Author Celebration!

All of the second grade classes are celebrating all the hard work they put into writing personal narratives throughout the past few weeks. Here the kids are sharing their stories with each other.

We Grow Like Beanstalks!

Today we celebrated the end of our first Reading unit. In 2nd grade, we grow like beanstalks, and the kids wanted to give advice to future readers. They gave tips like, "Watch for tricky words" and "Remember to solve words and go back to reread."

Writing Celebration!

Our class met with Mrs. Adler's second grade class today to celebrate and share our small moment narratives. Ask your child about the story they edited and fixed up during Writers Workshop!

The best 2nd grade class around won the Phantastic Phantom Traveling Trophy last week! Time to celebrate and get goofy!
