Last Week

Our class is celebrating the last week of school by reading outside on Beach Day with other 2nd grade friends. We also visited the Maker Space room to explore our creativity and find our passions.

Marble Mazes

Today our class created marble mazes and tested them out. They turned out so good!

Heritage Hill Field Trip

Last week we took a field trip to Heritage Hill. We learned all about what life was like long ago.

Career Fair

Last week our class got to participate in a Career Fair. We got to learn about being a carpenter, a logistics manager, a physical therapist, and an intensive care nurse. This made us think about what we want to be when we grow up.

Fallen Timbers

This week we took a field trip to Fallen Timbers. We took a hike, completed a pollination activity, learned about the plant life cycle, and played a predator/prey game.

Creating Hand Pollinators

Our class has been busy learning about the pollination system and the engineering design process. When there is a problem with something like the pollination system (a flower is not able to get pollinated), we know that we can ask, imagine, plan, create, and improve a hand pollinator to fix the problem.

Guess Who I Am

It's "Guess Who I Am" dress up day at Hemlock Creek today. Can you guess who our 2nd grade team is dressed up as?

Book Clubs

In Reading, the kids have chosen a skill they need to work on and have made Book Clubs to meet and help each other reach different goals. They are working hard on fluency, literary language, and keeping track of longer books.
